The Downward Spiral

I have got to the point lately where I feel completely overwhelmed by life. In a short couple days I went from being the most hopeful and happy person, to someone that doesn't want to do anything and sits on the edge of tears constantly. Life seems to be spiraling downward and I hopelessly sit on the side lines waiting for it to settle, show some sign of normality. Hopeless defines how I feel lately, stuck in a world with a million questions and no answers to be found. I absolutely HATE this feeling and it doesn't look like it's going to get any better. I don't know how we got here or where we will be in a couple days, but I know either way things will be different. And personally I liked where we were. Sometimes I wish just one thing in life would go easy for us. I thought this was it, apparently I was very wrong.

Half Way

I will be 22 weeks this week, so I though I would put the first half of my pregnancy into one nice and simple post.

December 3, 2010...I had sensed that I was pregnant for about a week but was too nervous to take the test.  And I was still in utter shock when it came back positive.  Even though we were trying I didn't expect to get pregnant this fast.
5 Weeks!!

After that I started taking belly shots every couple of weeks.  At first they were when ever I felt like it, but I have now decided to take one ever 2 weeks.
9 Weeks12 Weeks
9 weeks and 12 weeks.
16 Weeks18 Weeks
16 weeks and 18 weeks.

And then there was 20 weeks, I finally feel and look like I am pregnant which is always fun.  I don't have morning sickness and don't feel to uncomfortable yet.  Except little Lukas likes to sit as low as humanly possible....not comfortable at all.
20 Weeks
ProfileBOY

We are so thrilled to be welcoming another happy and healthy little boy.  Life is in full swing, planning baby showers and nurseries.  We are half way approved for a house so we are just itching to start working on it and get through escrow.  It put it simply; life couldn't be better.

Chinese Horoscopes

I am definitely one of those people that are truly amazed by the accuracy of the chinese horoscope and because of that when I was pregnant with Mavrick I looked up his and used it to imagine what kind of a little person he would become.  Now that he is 2 and a half I am still amazed by how accurate his is.

Mavrick is a Earth Rat which states:
"They are so charming and attractive they are always surrounded by friends and admirers. They can also be lone tumbleweeds, seldom making lasting friendships. Known as Perfectionists, they never want to lose face. It takes an understanding friend to get them to "put on the dancing plumes." Rat people have vivid imagination and are known for creating extraordinarily magic moments in time. Not surprisingly, the sensitive Rats have the gift of insight and clairvoyance, so you better watch out what you think around them! Rats enjoy being leaders and pacesetters and usually enjoy extraordinary success in life."

Now pregnant with Lukas [yes another boy] I again looked up his horoscope to see what kind of second child I could expect.  Just in the womb the two boys are so different, and their chinese horoscopes show that.

Lukas is a Metal Rabbit which states:
"They love to play under the moonlight. Quite fanciful, they respond to the power and beauty of nature and are always being pulled one way and the other to examine what they find. They are the luckiest of all twelve signs! But, it's more a result of "the harder I work, the luckier I get" than taking crazy chances. They are cautious, conservative, bright, and have a good head for business. Supremely pleasant to have around, these affectionate, naturally shy peacemakers seldom ever lose their temper. They sometimes appear to be singing the blues because of a natural but short-lived tendency towards despondency. Rabbits always inspire deep admiration and trust."

I think the combination of the two of them is going to be amazing!!! Not to mention William will get his affectionate child.  Maybe Lukas can mellow Mavrick out a little.  I can't wait to see what the future holds.

If interested look up your own at http://www.tuvy.com/entertainment/chinese_horoscope.htm; Mine and William's are also very accurate.

The Life that Never Stops.

I feel like I have greatly neglected this blog, but at the same time I feel as if my life never stops.  I don't get a chance to just stop and type some words and upload pictures.  Then again I don't have many fans inspiring me to write more random facts about my life.

There are many huge things that have happened since my last blog.  We got married, got pregnant, Mavrick turned 2, I finished another semester of school, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas...the list goes on.  But truthfully with all these wonderful things happening I don't want to recap them all.  I more want to just talk about life as a whole, where we are going and what is to come.  My fears, the excitement, the things that I don't feel I have time to divulge.

Life to me is spinning into the unknown, out of control, and to say the least I am frightened.  The new year brings a new SEMESTER carrying 14 units.  It brings buying a HOUSE, which is such a big deal and really means you are on your own.  It brings a new BABY which frankly will push us to the limit  I am sure.  Don't get me wrong I am THRILLED, inside and out.  I just can't stop worrying about if we are ready, are we prepared, can we do this.

Mavrick gets bigger everyday, he knows so much and truly is growing into a wonderful little boy with the sweetest heart.  William is also growing in his career into this great father and husband, its overwhelming how lucky I am.  I have so much to be thankful for.

I cross my fingers, and toes, that everything runs smoothly and this big leap makes us stronger and closer as a family.  We are going to need all the help we can get.

New Haircut & New Experiences

So as of Wednesday night, Mavrick is now sporting a short little boys hair cut.  I just decided that it was getting to long and just took him.  It might be shorter then I had originally anticipated but it is starting to grow on me.  Here are some pictures from Thursday when we checked out the remodeled park by our house.

Thursday ended up being William's last day at his current job, which is slightly a blessing in disguise.  We get to have Daddy hope for at least a week, but at the same time no work isn't always a good thing.  So we took advantage of the week day off and went to the state fair on Friday.

Mavrick loved the Dinosaur exhibit, he couldn't take his eyes off of them.

We also went and saw their animation history section.  Which was pretty awesome.

Mavrick also really enjoyed the reptile house, he really likes snakes [even if mom doesn't].  He also went around and said "hi" to the turtles and the alligators of course.

The last thing we did at the fair was go over to the kiddie rides, I really wanted Mavrick to be able to experience on, and he truly is a thrill seeker.  Lucky for Mavrick he was exactly 36" tall so he could get onto the rides.  We started with a simple spinning ride which he loves and didn't want to get off of.  The second ride was ok.  But by the third ride I think he was done.

Making the Most of Our Weekends.

Figuring William now works 40+ hour weeks we have been trying to make the most out of our weekends, because it is really the only time we have together as a family. So the past weekend of the 17th and 18th we filled with a horse show in Reno and then on Sunday I went to Jennah's baby shower and then Anna's Graduation/Going away party.

This past weekend we filled with even more stuff starting with feeding the ducks at Elk Grove Park. On Friday night I through a Celebration dinner for William on finally getting into his apprenticeship which then was followed by a lot of ROCKBAND.  Saturday we went to a baby photo shoot event hosted by JLE Photography and then out to the drive in with some new and old friends.  Sunday William and I spent the whole day at the Galleria doing wedding our wedding registries.

Water Works.

I love summer because it means we get to spend a TON of time in the water.  Here is just some of the fun we have been having lately.

We went to SUNSPLASH last Saturday which is one of my all time favorite places to go!!!

We had so much fun just being kids.

Another highlight is that all my Mommy friends have pools.  So not only does Mavrick get to swim at home in his baby pool or if he is lucky the big pool, he also gets to go have pool play dates all the time.

Mavrick and Jamison are best friends, they are such a pair.

Leila on the other hand is the girl I am sure Mavrick is in love with, he follows her around like a puppy and helps her out whenever he can.

Summer also means lots of ICE CREAM!!

We are so thankful for all of our mommy friend and baby friends, life wouldn't be as BUSY and fun without them. Mavrick truly never wants to leave them...or the pool.
