The Life that Never Stops.

I feel like I have greatly neglected this blog, but at the same time I feel as if my life never stops.  I don't get a chance to just stop and type some words and upload pictures.  Then again I don't have many fans inspiring me to write more random facts about my life.

There are many huge things that have happened since my last blog.  We got married, got pregnant, Mavrick turned 2, I finished another semester of school, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas...the list goes on.  But truthfully with all these wonderful things happening I don't want to recap them all.  I more want to just talk about life as a whole, where we are going and what is to come.  My fears, the excitement, the things that I don't feel I have time to divulge.

Life to me is spinning into the unknown, out of control, and to say the least I am frightened.  The new year brings a new SEMESTER carrying 14 units.  It brings buying a HOUSE, which is such a big deal and really means you are on your own.  It brings a new BABY which frankly will push us to the limit  I am sure.  Don't get me wrong I am THRILLED, inside and out.  I just can't stop worrying about if we are ready, are we prepared, can we do this.

Mavrick gets bigger everyday, he knows so much and truly is growing into a wonderful little boy with the sweetest heart.  William is also growing in his career into this great father and husband, its overwhelming how lucky I am.  I have so much to be thankful for.

I cross my fingers, and toes, that everything runs smoothly and this big leap makes us stronger and closer as a family.  We are going to need all the help we can get.

New Haircut & New Experiences

So as of Wednesday night, Mavrick is now sporting a short little boys hair cut.  I just decided that it was getting to long and just took him.  It might be shorter then I had originally anticipated but it is starting to grow on me.  Here are some pictures from Thursday when we checked out the remodeled park by our house.

Thursday ended up being William's last day at his current job, which is slightly a blessing in disguise.  We get to have Daddy hope for at least a week, but at the same time no work isn't always a good thing.  So we took advantage of the week day off and went to the state fair on Friday.

Mavrick loved the Dinosaur exhibit, he couldn't take his eyes off of them.

We also went and saw their animation history section.  Which was pretty awesome.

Mavrick also really enjoyed the reptile house, he really likes snakes [even if mom doesn't].  He also went around and said "hi" to the turtles and the alligators of course.

The last thing we did at the fair was go over to the kiddie rides, I really wanted Mavrick to be able to experience on, and he truly is a thrill seeker.  Lucky for Mavrick he was exactly 36" tall so he could get onto the rides.  We started with a simple spinning ride which he loves and didn't want to get off of.  The second ride was ok.  But by the third ride I think he was done.

Making the Most of Our Weekends.

Figuring William now works 40+ hour weeks we have been trying to make the most out of our weekends, because it is really the only time we have together as a family. So the past weekend of the 17th and 18th we filled with a horse show in Reno and then on Sunday I went to Jennah's baby shower and then Anna's Graduation/Going away party.

This past weekend we filled with even more stuff starting with feeding the ducks at Elk Grove Park. On Friday night I through a Celebration dinner for William on finally getting into his apprenticeship which then was followed by a lot of ROCKBAND.  Saturday we went to a baby photo shoot event hosted by JLE Photography and then out to the drive in with some new and old friends.  Sunday William and I spent the whole day at the Galleria doing wedding our wedding registries.

Water Works.

I love summer because it means we get to spend a TON of time in the water.  Here is just some of the fun we have been having lately.

We went to SUNSPLASH last Saturday which is one of my all time favorite places to go!!!

We had so much fun just being kids.

Another highlight is that all my Mommy friends have pools.  So not only does Mavrick get to swim at home in his baby pool or if he is lucky the big pool, he also gets to go have pool play dates all the time.

Mavrick and Jamison are best friends, they are such a pair.

Leila on the other hand is the girl I am sure Mavrick is in love with, he follows her around like a puppy and helps her out whenever he can.

Summer also means lots of ICE CREAM!!

We are so thankful for all of our mommy friend and baby friends, life wouldn't be as BUSY and fun without them. Mavrick truly never wants to leave them...or the pool.

Fourth of July Weekend.

We started out the 3rd with a good stroll through old Elk Grove, we had been wanting to go down there and check out all the smalls shops.  No one told us though that everyone isn't open on July 3rd at 10 am.  So we went into two shops and called it a day.  Since we expected to spend more time out that morning, we went by River City Cakes to set up a wedding cake testing which will take place this Tuesday.  This was followed by much need relaxation and a nap for the youngest of our little family.  After nap time we decided it was time for more fun in the sun.

Watermelon hit the spot.

Mavrick and I talked Daddy into going swimming too.

On the 4th of July, we had an easy morning just relaxing and enjoying pancakes.  After nap time and lunch time we headed over to my Uncle Shawn's for the traditional bbq, swimming, and fireworks.

The fireworks seemed bigger and badder then ever this year.  That could be because of the 12 foot structure that was made for them to shot off of.  It might also have helped that I had a better camera to capture all those fireworks that made them look even more amazing.  Mavrick also stayed away for all of the fireworks this year, I could hear him saying "wow", "cool", and "nice" the whole time, not to mention clapping after every firework.  Here are some of my favorites.

The last day of our three day weekend we spend playing 4 board monopoly while Mavrick had a day with Grandma and Grandpa.
